Welcome!

We’re the Davies Herd, a family of six navigating life one adventure at a time.

Our story began when two college students from very different corners of the country met and built a life together. Since then, we’ve added four amazing kids, two military careers that have traversed the world, countless road trips, more hockey gear than should be legally allowed, and enough moves to know that home is about people, not places.

As a dual-military family, we’ve learned that life rarely follows a straight path. Instead, it’s filled with unexpected assignments, new communities, changing landscapes, and opportunities we never saw coming. Along the way, we’ve discovered that some of our best memories come from embracing the journey rather than focusing on the destination.

This blog is our family’s scrapbook, travel journal, and storytelling space. You’ll find everything from military moves and family adventures to hockey tournaments, road trips, everyday moments, and the occasional story that we simply don’t want to forget.
