After seven days, thousands of miles, multiple tire adventures, one international border crossing, countless snacks, and more gas station stops than anyone cared to count, the Alaskan bound herd officially arrived in Anchorage.
The moment they pulled into the driveway, the kids exploded out of the vehicles and sprinted into the house.

Forget furniture. Forget boxes. Forget unloading.
The first priority was claiming bedrooms.
Negotiations, strategic positioning, and rapid room inspections commenced immediately as each child attempted to secure the perfect spot. I’m told decisions were made, challenged, renegotiated, and then made again.
Meanwhile, the Zed and Stacy took a moment to appreciate what a huge milestone this was. Months of planning, moving, packing, scheduling, and coordinating had finally led to this moment.
Of course, it didn’t take long before Zed’s mind shifted from “We made it” to “How can we make Trip #2 better?”
By the end of the evening he was already brainstorming ways to make the next drive north smoother, easier, faster, and more fun.
Some people arrive at the finish line and rest.
Others start planning the next adventure.
