Trek #2 Day 4: Thrills and Together Time

Day 4 was all about roller coasters, laughter, and spending the day together. We headed to Six Flags St. Louis and packed as many rides as possible into our time there.

One thing that struck me throughout the day was how different this season of life feels. Years ago, amusement parks meant splitting up. Some kids were too short, some weren’t brave enough yet, and someone was always waiting on the sidelines. Now, the kids have grown tall enough that we can ride almost everything together. Instead of dividing and conquering, we spent most of the day as one group, sharing the same thrills, screams, and memories.

The favorite rides varied depending on who you asked, but the consensus was clear: the bigger and faster, the better.

After a day full of roller coasters and enough steps to count as a workout, we climbed back into our vehicles and pointed them west. A few more hours on the road put us in Manhattan, Kansas, where we settled in for the night and rested up for the next leg of the adventure.
